"I wear jewellery as well" of Art gymnasium  From 15th December 2006 till 25th January 2007 the Gallery of Young People's Art Works Celje is hosting an exhibition of art works of "Gimnazija Celje - Center" students, 1st and 2nd year of Art gymnasium, named "I wear jewellery as well". Sketches, drawings and jewellery were created under supervision of students' mentor Mojca Šmit, graduate industrial designer, and in cooperation with "Zlatarna Celje". "Zlatarna Celje" manufactured unique pieces of jewellery based on most successful designs. At the same time we presented photographs of Sara Tekavc, a 3rd year student of the same school, who documented the process of the project, using a camera. Students themselves performed in the cultural program of the opening ceremony. The exhibition was opened by Professor Igor Majerle, the principal of "Gimnazija Celje - Center". By hosting this exhibition at our gallery we finished the exhibition programme for year 2006 and started a new calendar year 2007. At the end of January we are opening an exhibition of five academic painters and graphic artists, specialists, from the Republic of Serbia, who are in many different ways connected to art creativity of young people and therefore with the work of our gallery as well. |
