Horses in the eyes of young people


Finally... After great tours in Paris, Moscow, Belgrade, Podgorica, Rosario, Kishinjev, Ankara, Belarus, USA, Hungary... the greatest cavalry in the world came to metropolis of its native country as well. The word is about an exhibition of awarded art works of authors up to the age of 20 on the theme "Horses", chosen out of 45.000 art works from 55 countries, created for five international competitions of The World of Art magazine, Celje. It is the world's biggest collection of this kind.
The world of Art magazine offers information about art events from all over the world to young and adult readers in 26 countries on all continents, and with 12 international competitions so far, where over 100.000 young people from 74 countries participated, it ranges among 15 largest world competitions of this kind. The magazine represents their window to the world of art of young and adult artists of other countries. The beginnings of the magazine go back in year 1995, when the first edition was published in May, and in year 2000 the only permanent art gallery in Slovenia, earmarked for young authors, was opened at Stari grad Celje with support of Municipality Celje. The author of the project the International competition for young artists, the founder of the only permanent art gallery in Slovenia and of The World of Art magazine is Mihailo Lišanin. For his work in cooperation with foreign countries in the field of art culture and promotion of art creativity and culture of young people Mihailo Lišanin has received many foreign recognition symbols, such as commemorative medal from the Russian Ministry of Culture, golden key of a honorary guest of Villa Constitucion, Argentina, unique diploma of the Ministry of Education of Turkey, a coat of arms of Montenegro and a bronze coat of arms of the Municipality of Celje in Slovenia.
