Still Life in Slovakia
In connection to the awarding of the awardees of the 11th Ex libris Hlohovec, Slovakia and the opening of the exhibition of the awarded Ex librises, there was also another opening of the exhibition in this town, in the Vlastivedné múzeum Hlohovec. This was the exhibition of 200 artworks of young authors, the awardees of the International Competitions of The World of Art magazine and of our Gallery for Young People’s Art Works Celje on the theme Still Life. The exhibition has aroused much enthusiasm among the audience, as well as among the awardees from 10 countries, who had arrived to the granting of the Ex libris awards, and the eminent guests from Slovakia, Slovenia and Poland. The exhibition was opened by the ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia in Bratislava, Mrs. Maja Lavrenčič Svetek, and organized by Mrs. Helena Pekarovičová, the director of the Town Library of Hlohovec, who is a tireless organizer of the projects for young people and the leader of the EX LIBRIS, Hlohovec international contest for young artists, to 16 years old. The amiability of the hosts from Hlohovec, Slovakia had spread delight also among some guests from Slovenia - the Slovenske Konjice delegation with the mayor of this town, Mr. Miran Gorinšek, at the head, one of the awardees, Eva Škornik, and her mentor, Mrs. Marjana Artiček, from Primary School of Slivnica pri Celju. |
