In the middle of February visited Mihailo Lišanin, founder and leader of The Gallery of Young People's Art Works Celje, Funchal, administrative centre of the island Madeira, which belongs to Portugal even though it lies far away in the Atlantic ocean. As the guest of Ministry of Culture and Education of Madeira he, on special ceremony, awarded with diplomas the winners of XIV. International competition for authors up to the age of 20 which he founded and also leads.
At the ceremony were present Urška Ziherl, honorable consul of Slovenia, dr. Francisco Fernandes, minister and Carlos Goncalves, gen. secretary, both from the Ministry of Culture and Education of the island Madeira and other important guests. In cultural programme appeared a Youth choir which in 2002 participated in International Youth Choir Festival in Celje. At that time they visited The Gallery of Young People's Art Works, then on Old castle Celje, and agreed with Mihailo Lišanin for cooperation. At this occasion Mihailo Lišanin presented to minister of culture and education, as a memory on this event, Monograph of Celje and History of Duke's of Celje and hosts presented to Mihailo Lišanin a special diploma as recognition for many years of cooperation and promotion of art culture of young people from all over the world. There was great interest for the ceremony in public because great hall of city's Cultural centre was almost too small to receive, alongside the awardees, mentors, parents youth choir and members of local Ministry of Culture and Education, all who wanted to see the ceremony. This interest was also confirmed by seven newspaper articles in different newspapers and many radio and TV reports about this event.
