Exhibition from Celje in Gaziantep, Turkey
      
In Gaziantep, Turkish town on the edge of Mesopotamia, close to border with Syria, which has population of 2 millions, opened on March 9th a large exhibition of artworks awarded on international competition of the magazine The World of Art from Celje. Exhibited artworks from authors up to the age of 20, which are saved in The Gallery of Young People’s Art Works Celje, presented at this time the art creativity of young people from 55 countries. Exhibition opening was accompanied with huge media coverage and with giant billboards, set on main intersections in town. Exhibition was opened by Marko Polajžner, attaché for culture at Slovenian embassy in Ankara and Omer Can, mayor of Gaziantep. At the same time in Gaziantep the international jury of Turkish international competition for young people was in session and part of which was also Mihailo Lišanin, founder of International competition of the magazine The World of Art and founder of first children’s gallery in Slovenia. At the exhibition opening he received, for his long standing support for development of fine arts culture among young people in Turkey, Gaziantep and the world, a great recognition from the city of Gaziantep and received an invitation for exhibition for next year. Turkish international competition is organized for 19 years by city of Gaziantep and Mizyal Art Center. At this occasion Mihailo Lišanin gave the diploma of The Gallery of Young People’s Art Works Celje and the city of Celje to the mayor Omer Can and a coin of Counts of Celje and also a medallion of Countess Barbara Celjska to Mizyal Karabiber Nacaroglu, founder of Mizyal Art Center. Mizyal Art Center is a specific educational institution because they offer free of charge lessons of fine arts to children who can not afford to pay an intuition.
