Interview with Mihailo Lišanin for TV Pančevo

On the occasion of the 856th anniversary of establishment of City of Pančevo, Serbia the opening of an exhibition of  40 children artworks from all over the world was organized on the 8th of November in the Children’s Cultural Centre by the union of kindergartens “Dečja radost” (Child’s joy) that counts around 2400 children. The artworks on display were awarded at international competitions organized by the Gallery of Young People’s Artworks Celje on themes “Horse”, “Still Life” and “Who am I” by authors up to 10 years of age.
The Children’s Cultural Centre was established five years ago following the example given by the Gallery of Young People’s Artworks Celje, which exhibition they hosted in their exhibition this year.
Children’s group “Čupko” (Unkempt) performed in the cultural program of the exhibition opening while the kindergarten principal Mrs. Slavi Timarac Jovanov and the exhibition manager, an academic painter Mr. Emil Sfera listened carefully among other guests, such as: vicegerent of the Ambassador of Republic of Slovenia in Belgrade Mrs. Jadranka Šturm Kocijan, the Mayor of City of Pančevo Mrs. Vesna Martinović, deputy chairman of Pančevo City Council Mrs. Branka Vasić, the president of the Serbia-Kuba friendship association Mrs. Zorica Dobrijević from Belgrade, the local Minister of Culture Nemanja Rotar, the local Minister of Education Nada Čikoš, the president of Rotary club Pančevo Mr. Drago Berginc, academic artists Gordana and Dragan Ristić  from Belgrade, the representative of Auckland City Council Radmila Ristić from New Zealand and many others.
Mihailo Lišanin was presented with recognition for his cooperation with Pančevo cultural institutions for many years with the wish that their cooperation would grow into an international cooperation between the cities Celje and Pančevo. The first steps were made with the participation by academic artists Milan and Nada Jakšić from Pančevo at Mihailo Lišanin’s International graphic arts workshop in 2007 in Celje. This was later upgraded by the cooperation of the Museums of Archive in Celje and Pančevo and the cooperation of the city’s Rotary clubs. Future cooperation follows.
