In the middle of August was in Ethnographic museum Golesti, which celebrates 72nd anniversary, on public holiday of city Pitesti in Romania an exhibition opening of awarded artworks from international competition from authors up to the age of 20 on the theme “Ethnological dresses and folklore dances of my people” which was published by a magazine The World of Art from Celje. Artworks from 40 countries were exhibited with the help from art school “Colour and Dream” from town Corbeni, which is lead by renowned pedagogue and mentor Elena Stoica. The town of Corbeni is a few kilometres away from castle Poenari of Vlad Tepes, ruler from 15th century, who was better known as count Dracula, which in translation means “devil”. Castle is now accessible via 1480 stairs and nobody exactly knows how he then climbed to his hawk’s nest of fear. Exhibition was opened by general manager of museum dr. Filofteia Pally to which the leader of Institution for Creative Development of Young People gave, as a memory of the exhibition, coat of arms of Celje. At this opportunity Mihailo Lišanin presented to these years’ winners, from above mentioned school, well deserved diplomas for their achievements in international competition and the director of the museum gave him on the behalf of museum Golesti and city of Pitesti, for his work on promotion of art culture of young people from around the world, a diploma and a medal of Constantin Golescu, named after great Romanian historic personality (1777 – 1830). Pitesti is city with 300.000 residents and lies on the banks of river Arges and is at the same time cultural, economic and administrative centre of the region Arges. Before mentioned exhibition, together with 14 day international festival of folklore, which coincides with town’s public holiday, on symbolic way links and informs Romanian people with history and culture of other nations from the world. Part of making these new cultural ties is best represented by the exhibition from Celje in Ethnographic museum Golesti in Pitesti.
