Pančevo, city in Serbia, celebrated 857th anniversary of establishment as a city of art because they had an impressive number of cultural events, from exhibition of paintings, sculptures, architecture, photos and comics to music, literature, theatre and film events, which took place on 15 venues. Two visiting exhibitions from Celje, namely international exhibition of awarded artworks from international competition of The Gallery of Young People’s Art Works Celje on the theme “Ethnological dresses and folklore dances of my people” in Children’s Cultural Centre of kindergartens “Dečja radost” Pančevo and the exhibition of  travel photography of author Mihailo Lišanin, as a result of cooperation between Central library of Celje and City library of Pančevo, truly variegated cultural beat of the Pančevo festival. This, already fifth exhibition at Pančevo festival in Children’s Cultural Centre from The Gallery of Young People’s Art Works Celje, was opened by  the ambassador of Republic of Slovenia in Belgrade Franci But along with the performance of children from kindergarten “Dečja radost” and a large number of guests. At this occasion Mihailo Lišanin, founder of  Celje’s gallery and author of exhibited photos, received diplomas from the director of “Dečja radost” Slava Timarac Jovanov and the director of City library Pančevo Dejan Bosnić for long-lasting cooperation and he gave to the hosts coin of Counts of Celje for “Dečja radost” and coat-of-arms of Celje for City library Pančevo. Exhibition of photos in City library Pančevo was opened by director of Central library Celje Branko Goropevšek and present guests were addressed by director of City library Pančevo Dejan Bosnić. Interesting thing about exhibition of photos was that on exhibition opening Tara Babić came, the person on photo taken in year 2007 in Pančevo. Despite many events and obligations many representatives of municipality Pančevo attended Celje’s exhibition openings, Deputy Mayor of Pančevo Branka Vasić and Secretary for Culture of Pančevo Predrag Škaljak, directors of historical archives Celje Bojan Cvelfar and Pančevo Milan Jakšić, academic painters Emil Sfera, Nada Dimić and Vlastimir Madić, art historian Mimica Aleksić, representative from Serbian-Cuban Friendship Society from Belgrade Zorica Dobrijević and many other distinguished guests. At this occasion an idea was born that cooperation on cultural level between cities of Pančevo and Celje would be also expanded to economic and political area.
