Children from Kindergarten Šmarje for the 10th anniversary of the gallery
  

On Tuesday evening, 23.11.2010, we celebrated in The Gallery of Young People’s Art Works, with the opening of the exhibition of artworks from Kindergarten Šmarje pri Jelšah, the 10th anniversary of first and for now the only gallery for young people in Slovenia. In those 10 years was in the gallery and abroad, from the gallery archives, opened more than 180 exhibitions in 26 countries where we represented Celje and Slovenia. Among important exhibitions are exhibitions in Paris, Moscow and Novosibirsk, Tehran, Seoul, Munich, Mostar, Havana, Bratislava, Podgorica, Montana and Vraca, Bulgaria, Belgrade, Pančevo, Valjevo, Subotica, Ankara and Gaziantep, Turkey, Zagreb, Osjek, Bjelovar, Bangalore, India, Kishinev, Moldova, Rosario, Argentina, Pitesti, Romania, Illinois, USA, Evora, Portugal, Bandung, Indonesia... In cultural programme were performing children from the kindergarten and tamboura orchestra from Rogatec. In full Union hall in Celje’s house guests were addressed by principal of kindergarten Marta Drofenik and founder of the gallery Mihailo Lišanin. The mayor of City municipality Celje Bojan Šrot revived the memories of the gallery opening in year 2000 and exhibition was opened by the mayor of Šmarje pri Jelšah Jože Čakš. The ceremony also attended guests from Celje’s cultural circle; the director of Central library Celje Brane Goropevšek, the director of Historical archives Celje Bojan Cvelfar, retired director of Celje Theatre Borut Alujevič and many other guests. Exhibition will be on display till the end of year 2010.
